Attracting three million visitors annually to a gaming and hospitality complex measuring nearly 70,000 square feet, the Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino in Buffalo, New York required a clear and attractive signage wayfinding system for its grand reopening in July 2014.
Lorenc+Yoo Design worked with long-time collaborators at Hnedak Bobo Group to develop interior and exterior signage for the Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino. This included signage indicating pedestrian ingress and egress, vehicle guidance, and gateway identification pieces. Interior directional signage marks casino features–such as cashiers–restroom facilities, and various dining establishments.
The design motif pays homage to traditional Native American design sensibilities. For instance, the main gateway signage feature conjures the image a bird’s feather, with a modern twist. The color palette throughout the system features earth tones and bright lighting. The design goal was to light signage in ways that made them easy to identify and read in an energetic casino environment.
Lorenc+Yoo Design’s new wayfinding signage system for Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino now guides thousands of visitors weekly.
