3003 Perimeter Summit

The dramatic spire-form directory sculpture in the lobby of 3003 Perimeter Summit represents a labor of love by both Lorenc+Yoo Design and its client. 297 plates of 3/4″ thick glass, varied in size, large to small, thirty-six inches in diameter at the base are stacked to form a twenty-two foot tall spire/cone. Each glass plate has a hand chipped and polished edge which captures and reflects light to create a visually dramatic effect. A central hollow core, seven inches in diameter, allows supply of fiber-optic cable for a continuous light source top to bottom. The base and tip of the unit are stainless steel.
