The modernization of Christiana Mall in Newark, Delaware is complete.
For the past several years, Lorenc+Yoo Design has been working with General Growth Properties and RTKL Architects to design a comprehensive identity and wayfinding program for the renovation of Christiana Mall. In addition to LYD’s new signage system, the firm was retained to re-energize the bland courts where mall corridors intersect.
To that end, LYD devised a number of unique central features for each court. These features give a personality to each area, adding new vertical expressions and ceiling treatments that come alive with night lighting.
The new signage and wayfinding as well as interior enhancements will contribute to General Growth’s plan to remake Christiana Mall a center of social and commercial activity in the busy Baltimore area.
