This season has been exciting for Lorenc+Yoo Design, presenting new projects and challenges. Here are just a few of the endeavors being pursued by LYD and our staff.
LYD has been working with EDSA Fort Lauderdale and KEO OF Abu Dhabi, UAE on a citywide environmental graphics system for Mohammed bin Zayed City. The goal is to coordinate the signage scheme into a citywide network of communication devices, giving visitors and city occupants a unified identity and wayfinding system. The signage and lighting standard systems are being integrated into the landscape to minimize the number of pieces and maximize the environment’s simple clarity.
LYD has been retained by KEO of Abu Dhabi UAE to design a gateway and wayfinding system for the Ras Gas campus in Abu Dhabi.
Jan Lorenc and Chung Yoo have been retained by the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) as professors of design, teaching classes in environmental graphic design, signage design, and exhibition design within the school’s Graphic Design department.
