Lorenc+Yoo Design designed the integrated signage system for the Pope John Paul II Cultural Center at Catholic University Campus in Washington, D.C. The goal was to create a cultural landmark, speaking to the legacy of this Polish pope. With a team that included Leo A Daly Architects, LYD integrated signage into the landscape and the building’s highly articulated architecture, creating a modern yet approachable look. The signage system comprises a variety of materials–from glass to metal to stone–and gives contemporary forms a very personal touch.
