In 2018, Jan Lorenc was selected as a Graphis Design Master, placing him alongside many on Lorenc’s design heroes such as Takenobu Igarashi, Alan Fletcher, Paul Rand, and Massimo Vignelli.
The international design magazine Graphis features Lorenc’s philosophy of work: “Every project has a storyline, so understanding the comprehensive project and developing a unique experiential storyline for each project is essential. We learn new things on each project through our design process. Having unique projects is always our goal, it allows us to grow with challenges that we have not had in the past. We have reinvented our firm each decade to become more comprehensive as far as experiential branding. We strive to create a seamless environment with landscape, architecture, interior design, graphic design, and industrial design.”

Additionally, Lorenc+Yoo Design has won a 2019 Silver Award from Graphis for their design, with longtime partner Journey Communications, of the trade show environment for real estate developer Related. Lorenc+Yoo Design and Journey Communications created a booth to promote the Related’s development at Hudson Yards in Manhattan. Upon completion, over a dozen structures will sit atop a platform built above the West Side train yard.
LYD has worked with Related for over the past fifteen years in creating past trade show booths, with this one promoting their trophy property.
