Jack Racino Boldly Elevates the Customer Experience
In 2018, there are countless competitors for an individual’s attention. This has prompted casinos and “racinos”–casinos with racetracks–such as Jack Thistledown Racino in Cleveland, Ohio to up their game. Alongside longtime architectural partners KA Architecture, Lorenc+Yoo contributed to making Jack’s $70 million renovation beautiful and effective through the addition of new restaurants, new games, new parking, and a new, statement-making entrance.
Immediately upon arrival, Jack’s sleek glass and steel modern construction is punctuated quickly with clear typography on bold red fields. Sunken alcoves with illuminated borders highlight seasonal advertising campaigns clearly upon both a drive-by and pedestrian approach. Additional exterior illumination continues the red theme, and contrasts with the interior green living wall visible through the large front windows.
Inside, the experience immediately becomes warmer, beginning with the vine-clad living wall, and continuing into the various restaurants. The new Nonna Pizza features bold yellow stool seating and graphics placed onto clean white and yellow subway tiles. Cleo’s Hometown Bar sits amidst brick, wood, copper, and steel. This is a gaming environment, of course, but the new interior detailing make it unlike any other you’ve experienced.
In the first January following the completed renovation, Jack Thistledown Racino’s revenues are up nearly 10 percent from the previous January. With so many competitors for customers’ mindshare, the bolder and more relevant Jack Racino is positioned well for future growth.
