Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, South Dakota retained Lorenc+Yoo Design to develop an Environmental Graphic Branding system for both its main campus and satellite facilities. LYD developed a system of major identification elements, directional signs, building-applied signs, and regulatory signs to unite the diverse architecture of the various branches in the region, giving it a singular identity. LYD took a planar approach to the system, intersecting different elements to create a textured design.
